The client
Beat the Cold
The brief
As a charity working to beat fuel poverty, Beat the Cold had a very tight budget but needed to raise awareness of its work in the scattered rural communities of north east Staffordshire.
The campaign
Octopus worked with Beat the Cold to develop an awareness campaign through press releases, media briefings and newspaper and radio interviews, culminating in a series of ‘Beat the Bills’ seminars, hosted by libraries throughout the region.
The results
The client appeared a number of times in the Sentinel and was featured by three local radio stations. More than 450 people attended the ‘Beat the Bills’ seminars and the demand was so high that the client was prompted to organise another series of events.
The client says
“Staff at Octopus worked closely with us to understand what we really needed from a campaign. They then helped us reach as many clients as possible. They identified the best ways to gain media interest, without compromising the integrity of our work helping fuel poor households. In addition, because of their help, we now hold a collection of professional quality photographs with which we can continue to promote our work.
I am pleased to recommend the friendly and professional service provided by Octopus.”
